On Thursday, December 12, 2024 at approximately 9:30PM, a sanitary sewer overflow near 260 Hunting Road from a sewer manhole at the intersection of Kendrick and Hunting Road was identified by the Needham DPW. The overflow continued for a duration of 2 hours intermittently, and it is estimated that a volume of 500 gallons of discharge was released before it ceased on December 12, 2024 at approximately 11:30. The overflow consisted of untreated sewage and waste.
No other municipalities or water bodies were affected.

On Friday December 6, 2024 at approximately 4:30PM a sanitary sewer discharge/overflow at/near the intersection of Kendrick St/Hunting Rd from 3 various sewer manholes in this area was identified by the Needham DPW. The overflow continued periodically for a duration of approximately 4.5 hours, and it is estimated that a volume of 960 gallons of discharge was released before it ceased on December 6, 2024 at approximately 9:00PM. The discharge/overflow consists of untreated sewage and waste. Repairs to the system were implemented.
